Collection Information
Preparation
- Acute sample should be collected within five days of illness. A convalescent sample is required 10-14 days later.
- A detail of recent travel to endemic areas is required.
- Samples are referred to ESR, Wellington for testing. IgG and IgM serology is performed.
- Please use the Clinical Virology Laboratory Test Request form from ESR
