Availability

Only available at PLW Mainlab. All other sites - send patients to PLW Mainlab or directly to Waikato Hospital Laboratory. If patient is unable to travel, or request marked Urgent, complete all other requests with "To follow" for PFA.

Preparation

  • Blood must be collected carefully as activated samples invalidate results
  • Send to lab ASAP
  • Do not send specimen via Lamson pneumatic tube system
  • Refer to Test Reference Manual
