  • We test for heterophile antibody interference with immunoassay tests. (e.g. Heterophile antibody interference to Prolactin, or TSH, etc.) Requests for Heterophile antibodies are not helpful unless we know what test is suspected of having interference.

Test inhouse for interference and may send off an additional sample to Waikato Hospital lab for testing on an alternative platform. PLW Biochemistry staff will add these additional tests to the request.

- Tauranga
