  • For Children under 15yrs only. RND or 24hr Urine. WITH ACID. Adults: Refer Metanephrines.
  • VMAs are no longer regarded as the test of choice in screening for phaeochromocytoma. VMA requests for phaeochromocytoma are forwarded for urine metanephrine analysis.
  • VMA and HVA requests are reserved for the diagnosis of neuroblastoma.
  • Acidify urine within 2 hours of collection
